Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.Assist with the orientation of new personnel.Assist registration staff and perform additional clerical duties as necessary.Demonstrate ongoing competency and proficiency in clinical job requirements. ![]() Perform quality checks on medical equipment including CLIA waived controls.Monitor disposable inventory and notifies appropriate persons of supplies and pharmaceuticals needed.Cleans examination room after patient visit.Restock examination rooms with adequate supplies.Ensure all patient and patient related telephone calls are documented in the medical record/EMR.Perform patient call backs, arrange referrals and testing, and schedule follow-up appointments.Complete medical record to include medical services rendered, test results, and supplies used.Remove sutures/staples and change sterile and non-sterile dressings.Perform dosage calculations for administering medications.Perform both DOT, Non-DOT urine drug screens, BAT and Hair Drug Testing, using proper chain of custody ensure preparation for pick-up and shipment to appropriate laboratory.Perform CLIA-waived lab tests, draw blood and collect, label and process specimens for reference lab according to physician orders.Perform diagnostic tests including eye exams, electrocardiograph, cardiac monitor, oxygen equipment, pulse ox, peak flow and inhalation treatment equipment., dress/bandage wound and incisions, start/monitor IV, draw blood according to written order, and assist provider with any procedures. Administer injections, medications, eye and ear irrigations.Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after use.Carry out Standing Orders as applicable prior to patient being seen by the provider according to written protocol.Explain treatment procedures and prepare patient and exam room for examination.Obtain patient history assess/triage patient, measure vital signs, and record information in medical record/EMR.Greet patients in waiting area, assure patient flow runs smoothly and efficiently, escort patients to discharge counter.These duties are delegated in relation to the individual's degree of training, in accordance with the objectives and policies of the organization and respective state laws governing such action and activities. Perform selected nursing, lab, administrative, and clerical duties that assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management under the direction of a Physician, PA, or NP.
